Consilium strengthens security at Malmö University's new building with a seamlessly integrated safety system

Consilium Safety Sweden AB will deliver a comprehensive safety solution for Malmö University’s new Amphitrite 1 building, a key addition to the central campus. 

Through early collaboration with GC Gruppen, Veidekke, and Malmö University, Consilium provided an integrated safety solution for critical infrastructure, bringing together fire and evacuation alarms, access control, intruder detection, and personal alarm systems in one platform. 

Wihlborgs Fastigheter AB is building a new 20,000 sqm, eight-story property for Malmö University next to the Niagara building in central Malmö. The security solution is delivered in partnership with GC Gruppen AB and Veidekke AB, with Consilium responsible for system design, programming, commissioning, and documentation. 

Consilium’s early involvement has been essential in shaping the right solution and safeguarding students, staff, and visitors in a vibrant building full of diverse activity.

The detailed design phase is in progress, and Amphitrite 1 is being built next to the harbour basin in central Malmö. The building is expected to welcome its first occupants by the end of 2027.
